MicroCyber exists because Australia's small businesses were being sold enterprise tools they couldn't use, or nothing at all.
The problem we set out to fix
Most cyber security companies in Australia are built for enterprise budgets and enterprise complexity the Big 4 consultancies and large MSSPs serving ASX-listed clients, or specialist firms that only do compliance advisory. In between, the 784,000+ small and medium businesses that make up most of the Australian economy are left choosing between doing nothing, buying a single point tool that doesn't cover them, or trying to hire an in-house security person they can't really afford or keep.
Our founder's background
MicroCyber is led by Karthik Malla (known as Eric), who spent the past decade as a Principal Cyber Security Architect for the Australian Federal Government and for major Australian financial institutions and airlines. He founded MicroCyber to bring that same standard of protection to Australian SMBs, delivered at a price they can actually afford.
How we're structured
MicroCyber's Security Operations team SOC analysts, threat hunters, security engineers and incident responders is based in Tirana, Albania, as part of the MicroAI venture studio. That structure is deliberate: it lets us deliver the same standard of protection an Australian enterprise would build in-house, at a cost structure no Australian-based competitor of our size can match, without compromising on 24/7 coverage or response time.
What we've built
Alongside our managed services, we've built and operate three proprietary products: PhishLens (which detects and shuts down phishing domains and brand impersonation), Beluga (continuous vulnerability scanning across infrastructure, applications and endpoints), and pTeam (ongoing automated penetration testing that simulates real attacker behaviour). These aren't licensed third-party tools we own them, which is part of how we keep the cost of the full service down for clients.

We work with Australian SMBs across accounting, legal and finance-adjacent services, microfinance, automotive retail, healthcare, real estate and property, retail and eCommerce, manufacturing and logistics, and businesses that supply government or large enterprise clients and need to meet their security requirements.
