Australia has a cyber problem
A cybercrime report is made in Australia about every 6 minutes. In FY2024–25, the Australian Signals Directorate responded to 84,700 cybercrime reports and 1,200 cyber security incidents nationally and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner recorded a record 1,205 notifiable data breaches in the 2025 calendar year, up 8% on the year before.
